Engagement session of Kay and Josh in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
This was a two day multiple locations engagement photo shoot. On a first day we first went to the Heritage plantation at the Pawleys Island, where actually they will be getting married in September, and we cant wait to shoot their wedding 🙂 Heritage plantation offers truly magnificent scenery with hundreds of years old live oak trees, and truly southern charm everywhere.
Here is a little bit from the history of Plantation. “Heritage Plantation is located on the Waccamaw River in an area where nearby rivers and creeks served as hideouts for pirates like Blackbeard and also were effectively used in the harassment of the British during the Revolutionary War. Early colonists found this land along the tidal rivers in the Low Country particularly suited to rice cultivation. Some of the earliest fortunes in America were made by the plantations developed for that purpose. After the Civil War the fortunes of the plantations declined and in many cases they became hunting preserves. Today they are either housing developments or are preserved for history by foundations or trusts.”
Kay and Josh also brought their adorable French Bulldog Lincoln to the photo shoot with them, he is just super cute and I have to say really photogenic.
For the second location we drove down to Pawleys Island beach, this was right around sunset, and we captured some really fun and emotional photos of the couple having fun and playing on the beach.
For the second we went to the coffee shop down at the Market Common district of Myrtle Beach. I have discovered Le Cupcake cafe about 3 month ago, I was meeting one of my future brides there. And let me tell you this place is really cool and definitely has a lot of French Charm to it. And their cupcakes and coffee are great quality and taste really good.
Anyways the whole idea of this part of engagement session was to capture couple in their everyday atmosphere just hanging out with each other, and I think we did pretty good job 🙂
But I’ll let you be the judges, please leave some comment and share with your friends.
And remember to give One Life Photography a call or message us if you recently engaged and looking for a photographer to capture your special day.
