Established in 2012, we bring years of experience in both digital and film photography, blending timeless elegance with a modern touch. Today, our studio is one of the most sought-after in Myrtle Beach and Charleston, specializing in wedding, family, and senior portrait photography.
While based in South Carolina, we love to travel and are available to capture weddings at any destination. In 2012, I founded One Life Photography in the beautiful coastal city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Photography has been a lifelong passion of mine, sparked by my childhood surrounded by cameras and inspired by my grandfather, who was a professional photographer. His guidance and the experiences he shared with me laid the foundation for my love of capturing moments.
Originally from the Ural Mountains of Russia, I found my true home along the warm shores of the Atlantic Ocean. After several years of working with a local photography studio, I was inspired to start my own business, combining my technical skills with a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and vibrant energy of Myrtle Beach.

My name is Lyra Cummings, and I’m a professional photographer based in the Charleston area, specializing in weddings, senior portraits, family sessions, and boudoir photography. I began my journey in the photography industry in 2014, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best professionals in the field.
This experience inspired me to fully immerse myself in One Life Photography, where I’ve dedicated my time to enhancing the company’s expertise and delivering exceptional results for our clients. Originally from Moscow, Russia, I moved to Chicago at the age of two and later settled in South Carolina. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Coastal Carolina University, all while pursuing my passion for photography.
Today, I call Charleston home, where I live with my dog, Biscuit—aka my junior assistant and loyal companion.

Approximately 20% of your photos will be captured on film, adding a classic, timeless quality, while the rest are shot digitally to ensure sharpness and detail.
Based in Myrtle Beach, we proudly serve couples across North and South Carolina and are available to travel wherever your wedding takes us.
